Galantis는 내가 가장 좋아하는 일렉트로닉 아티스트이다. 지금까지 밝고 신나는, 듣는 사람을 업되게 하는 곡들을 주로 내왔는데, 이번에 새로 발매된 곡인 Mama Look At Me Now는(여전히 밝은 곡이지만) 조금 차분한? 느낌이 든달까? 그래서 새롭기도 하고, 또 가사가 정말정말 마음에 든다. 어렸을 때 주변의 "너는 실패자야", "너는 문제아야" 같은 말들을 들었지만 당당하게 성공한 모습으로 지금의 나를 보라고 외치는 내용의 가사인데, 노래를 들을 때 마다 굉장히 동기부여가 된다. 한번씩은 눈물이 날 것 같기도 하고, 뭔가 노래를 듣다가 갑자기
" 야 나 존나 성공할거야! "
이렇게 외치고 싶은 기분도 든다. 내 방식대로 치열하게 노력하고 성공해서 떳떳한 모습으로 나타나고 싶다는 생각? 또는 그냥 열심히 즐기면서 살고싶다는 생각. 어찌 되었든 굉장히 힘을 주는 노래인 것 같다.
그리고 뮤직비디오도 굉장히 마음에 든다! 특히 40초의 댑과 의미불명의 김밥속으로...ㅋㅋㅋ
